Join us for our Introductory FAIR Analysis Fundamentals Course directly before FAIRCON18, onsite at Carnegie Mellon University. This course is designed to provide individuals with the conceptual foundation, methods, tools, and practical experience necessary to competently perform a FAIR analysis.
RiskLens® has been delivering risk-focused training for over ten years and our facilitators are among the foremost experts in FAIR and technology risk. We not only cover all relevant and important concepts around risk quantification and the FAIR framework, but also apply that knowledge in classroom-led case study analyses to ensure each participant has practical application experience. Risk analysts who complete the training program will gain a set of analytical skills as well as an improved ability to identify, measure, and communicate risk.

No prior in-depth understanding of FAIR is necessary; this course is open to all FAIRCON18 attendees (both FAIR Institute members and non-members), who have enrolled in this optional, add-on course.
Technical requirements include a laptop computer capable of connecting to wireless internet (provided) and one of the following browsers: Internet Explorer v9, Firefox v5, Chrome v7, or Safari v5.
Your RiskLens® instructors will provide you with a comprehensive curriculum, training workbooks, and materials needed to complete course exercises related to the training.
All participants will receive a certificate of completion with credited 16 CPE hours for professional certifications. Upon completion of this course, instructors will share how you can take the OpenFAIR Level 1 certification exam via The Open Group at a Pearson VUE Testing Center near you, and provide you with a voucher that completely covers the cost of the OpenFAIR Certification Exam.
The training will take place from 9 AM to 5 PM. Training will include catered breakfast, lunch, and snack breaks on both days. A full schedule outline will be published closer to the event.
