I have some exciting news to share with our community: the FAIR Institute has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors.
This is a big moment for us. We are building FAIR Institute 2.0, a truly independent industry organization with an expanded mission: bringing quantitative risk management to the way every organization makes decisions about cyber, technology, and AI risk.
A mission that ambitious needs great people steering it. These three leaders bring deep practitioner experience, fresh perspectives, and, most importantly, a genuine passion for FAIR.
Each of them has spent years putting FAIR to work: measuring risk in financial terms, changing conversations in the boardroom, and helping others do the same. They now join the Board at exactly the right time, as we shape the Institute's next chapter together.
On behalf of the entire FAIR community, welcome. We are thrilled to have you with us.
A name and a title only tell you so much. So over the next three weeks, we will publish a brief interview with each new director, one per week, where they share their lov-a-FAIR story.
You will hear how each of them first crossed paths with FAIR (love at first quantification, or did it take a few dates?), the career turns that shaped how they think about risk, why they decided to make it official and join the Board, and where they hope our industry will be five years from now.
Knowing these three, I promise you the stories will be worth the wait. Keep an eye on the FAIR Institute blog and our LinkedIn page so you don't miss them.
While you wait, mark your calendar for FAIR Forward, our virtual event on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.
This is where we will unveil FAIR Institute 2.0, together with FAIR creator Jack Jones: our new strategy, our independent governance, and the programs that will help you grow your skills and your risk management program.
It is the best way to see where the Institute is going, and how you can be part of it.
Register now for FAIR Forward and bring your colleagues along.
See you on November 10!
