Video with Slides | FAIRCON

Video recording below - slides attached.

For our opening keynote, I would like to introduce Jack Jones, author of FAIR and Chairman of the FAIR Institute, who will discuss , “Enabling Risk Management Programs That Actually Work.” For those of you who don’t know him, Jack is one of the foremost authorities in the field of information risk management. He is a 3-time CISO and the author of Measuring and Managing Information Risk: A FAIR Approach, which was inducted into the Cyber Security Canon in 2016 as a must-read in the profession.

Risk management frameworks and maturity models abound, and it’s been argued that — if followed — they result in effective risk management programs. But do they actually work? In this keynote, Jack will share his views on what it takes for a risk management program to “actually work”, why it’s so crucial, and how common practices fall short. He’ll also describe how organizations can build a roadmap for achieving a higher state of efficacy.
