**Qualified individuals who are C-level officers at organizations with greater than $10M in overall IT Security budget, can apply for Charter Membership automatically.
General membership in the FAIR Institute is currently free. The majority of costs are underwritten by our Technical Advisor, Partners and Sponsors. Any individuals with interest in information risk management are eligible for membership. This includes, but is not limited to: C-Level individuals, Directors, Managers, Analysts, Legal, Students.

There are various criteria for determining FAIR Institute membership level, as outlined below.

General Member: Open to any business, risk or technology practitioner aiming to improve their knowledge of FAIR. General Membership is open to people from all industries and from organizations of all sizes.
Charter Member: Charter Members are not only seeking to advance their FAIR knowledge base but they also have the experience and desire to give back to FAIR Institute programs in order to accelerate the proliferation of this standard framework. Charter Membership includes extra perks like additional discounts to FAIRCON, early access to the Annual Risk Management Maturity Survey Report, and a free copy of the FAIR book “Measuring and Managing Information Risk: A FAIR Approach.” It can be achieved in two different ways:
General members seeking to upgrade to Charter level membership can do so by paying the annual $150 Charter membership fee.

General Enterprise Membership Program: This FAIR Institute program benefits your organization by providing a cost-effective and convenient way to train your security & risk management teams and assess the maturity of your risk management program.
