Enterprise Membership Program



General membership in the FAIR Institute is currently free. The majority of costs are underwritten by our Technical Advisor, Partners and Sponsors. Any individuals with interest in information risk management are eligible for membership. This includes, but is not limited to: C-Level individuals, Directors, Managers, Analysts, Legal, Students.

There are various criteria for determining FAIR Institute membership level, as outlined below.

Individual Membership:

  • General Member: Open to any business, risk or technology practitioner aiming to improve their knowledge of FAIR. General Membership is open to people from all industries and from organizations of all sizes.

  • Contributing Member: Contributing Members are seeking to advance their FAIR knowledge to an expert level, progressively incorporate it into their organization’s business practices, and more actively participate in the Institute community. Available to all information security and risk professionals, this exclusive membership provides the highest level of benefits, discounts, events, and thought leadership materials. Contributing Membership includes perks like invitation to exclusive events and webinars, discounts to FAIRCON and on FAIR Training courses, early access to new Institute content materials, and a copy of the FAIR book “Measuring and Managing Information Risk: A FAIR Approach.” New members or general members seeking to upgrade to Contributing level membership can do so by paying the annual $150 Contributing membership fee.

Group Membership:

  • Enterprise Membership Program: This FAIR Institute program benefits your organization by providing a cost-effective and convenient way to train your security & risk management teams and assess the maturity of your risk management program. The EMP is the best way for an organization to help their employees gain General Membership to the FAIR Institute while also purchasing additional educational tools for them.
