About the Standards Working Groups

The mission of the Standards Working Groups is to research new areas of extension of the FAIR standards and framework.

Examples of research projects include modeling of loss data and assessing materiality; measuring controls effectiveness and mapping to the FAIR ontology; threats-to-risk mapping; assessing and managing third-party risk; and cyber insurance underwriting.

Standards working groups include both active researchers and observers. They are supported by Technical Advisor Safe Security and other Industry Advisors that have deep subject matter expertise. New research projects are approved by the Director of Standards & Research.
