About the Standards Body Working Groups

The mission of the Standards Body Working Groups is to research new areas of extension of the FAIR model, data sources and formats, mapping to complementary models and frameworks.

Examples of research projects incl. modeling of loss data, measurement of materiality; measure of controls effectiveness and mapping to risk; threats-to-risk mapping; assessing and managing third-party risk; insurance underwriting.

Standards body working groups include both active researchers and observers. They are supported by Institute Technical Advisor Safe Security and occasionally other Industry Advisors that have deep subject matter expertise. New research projects are approved by the Director of Standards & Research.
