Khalil Jackson, CISO, New York Federal Reserve Bank, Joins FAIR Institute Board

I am delighted to announce the appointment of a distinguished Chief Information Security Officer to the FAIR Institute Board of Directors: Khalil Jackson, CISO at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Khalil’s deep experience will enrich our mission of research and education in cyber and operational risk management and deepen our connections, especially in the world of financial services.

About Khalil Jackson

It’s impossible to overstate the importance of the New York Fed to the American financial system, and the high stakes of protecting the institution’s operations. The Bank is the home to the Federal Open Market Committee that executes monetary policy in the US through buying and selling Treasury securities. The Bank also operates in the global financial markets to further US monetary policy.   

In his role at the New York Fed, Khalil Jackson oversees information security strategy and protection of critical systems and data. As part of the Bank’s mission to ensure a stability in the entire system, Khalil provides thought leadership and technical support on cybersecurity across the financial industry and pursues cyber diplomacy in the Bank’s mission to the international community 

He is a Member of the Global Cyber Resilience Group Steering Committee for Bank for International Settlements, the “bank of central banks,” and held previous leadership positions at Bank of America and Morgan Stanley. 

Khalil is deeply interested in developing the next generation of cyber leaders, and serves as a  Board Member for The STEM Academy, fostering education in the trades, engineering, manufacturing, and medical fields.  

“At the New York Federal Reserve, I’ve seen first-hand the urgent need for the FAIR Institute’s mission to bring risk professionals and their business partners together to find the right balance between protecting and advancing the business,” he said.  “I’m looking forward to supporting that mission in any way I can.”
