On Tuesday, November 10, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET, we will host FAIR Forward 2026, a virtual event for everyone who measures and manages cyber, AI, and technology risk in economic terms. Today I am glad to share the full agenda.
This year we chose to pause the in-person FAIRCON and meet online instead. We have a lot to tell you about where the FAIR Institute is going, and we wanted as many of you as possible to hear it first, wherever you are. FAIR Forward is that moment: a half-day with the people shaping our community, the research behind our practice, and the boardroom conversations that give our work its purpose.
What’s on the agenda
10:00 AM ET · FAIR Institute 2.0: Independent, Member-Governed, and Built for the Age of AI Risk (live)
Jack Jones and I open the day with the most important update in the Institute’s history. We will share how the FAIR Institute will set the standard for cyber, AI, and technology risk in the years ahead, and what it means for you as a member. We will stay on for a live Q&A, so bring your questions.

11:10 AM ET · Closing the Gaps: What the 2026 State of Cyber Risk Management Report Means for CISOs and Risk Leaders
Todd Tucker (FAIR Institute), Michelle Griffith (TransUnion) and Will Klotz (GuidePoint Security) walk through the report’s key findings: where organizations fall short in measuring and reporting cyber risk, and the practical steps that close those gaps.

12:30 PM ET · Managing Cyber Risk in the Age of AI
Robert Rodriguez of SINET moderates a CISO panel with MJ Gautam (Instacart), Esmond Kane (Advarra), Jerry Archer (Cloud Security Alliance) and Gaurav Gupta (Santander). They will discuss how they identify, measure and govern AI-related risk, and how they explain that exposure to executives and boards.

1:15 PM ET · Dollars, Days and Odds: How Guild Insurance Built a Risk Appetite Its Board Actually Uses
Mohammad Arif, CISO of Guild Group, shows how his team turned risk appetite from a vague statement into something the board acts on, expressed in financial loss, recovery time and likelihood. It is one of the coolest practitioner stories I have heard this year.

2:15 PM ET · Your Board Is Asking the Wrong Cyber Questions: What the 2026 NACD-ISA Handbook Says They Should Ask Instead
I will close the day moderating a conversation with Larry Clinton (ISA), Tracie Grella (AIG), Dylan Sandlin (NACD) and Kristin Lovejoy (Kyndryl, Dominion Energy board). Drawing on the new Director’s Handbook on Cyber-Risk Oversight, we will cover what directors should be asking and how risk leaders can answer in business terms.

Join us on November 10
The opening keynote is live, and it is the session I most hope you will attend in real time. This is where we share the next chapter of the FAIR Institute, and I want to hear your questions directly.
Register for FAIR Forward 2026 and save your spot. I look forward to seeing you there.
